ITEM DESCRIPTION: Sanford LOUIS XVI Cherry Wood 7 drawer LINGERIE CHEST This is an absolutely exquisite, SOLID Cherry Wood Lingerie Chest. This vintage chest has seven roomy drawers making it an exceptionally large lingerie chest (typically they have 6 drawers). It's quite beautiful, done in the style of Louis XVI French furniture and it was made c1950 by the Sanford Furniture Company of Sanford, North Carolina as part of their Permacraft line (it's signed inside the drawer - see photo of mark on the left). Sanford is a high quality American maker and Permacraft is their prestigious line of furniture. This exquisite lingerie chest is of heirloom quality and was built to last for many lifetimes. The wood has a beautiful patina and the piece is quite well constructed; all the drawers have a clean interior and you would be proud to display and use this exquisite piece of furniture every day. Please any of the photos to examine items in detail . Age (ca.) c1950 Dimensions It measures 48-1/2" High X 20" Wide X 14" deep and has 7 drawers. Condition Good estate condition. Very sturdy. Very clean on the interior. No damage at all. A few minor character marks merely serve to verify vintage but t is nothing of concern on this well-cared for piece.
