Sansui SP-X9700 Speakers 280W Vintage & Rare, Near Mint
These speakers were purchased as part of a complete Sansui system all purchased together in the late 70's (see picture below) in Europe. Only the SP-X9700 speakers are offered in this auction, other components are being sold in separate auctions. Condition: It is hard to believe these speakers are 30 yrs old. When I took the covers off, the previous owner said he did not know they could be removed, it was obvious he never took them off, they look like new . The cabinets are in almost the same condition, no major scratches, one very minor dent on the corner (shown in pic), but not chipped, so hardly noticeable. One very small chip on one back corner. The honeycomb grilles are in fantastic condition. These are in all original condition . The paperwork is still intact on the back of each speaker. The brochure and the warranty card for each speaker are also included (although no warranty is given, these are strictly for historical reference). From the brochure: The Sansui SP-X9700: Beautiful balance of Power and Delicacy in a 7-Speaker system with 17" woofer. 280W capactiy and High 100db/W/m Efficiency. The woofer has a nonresonant frame and cone that could move mountains. Special Sansui techniques preserve the intimacy of vocals and fidelity of fundamentals. Cracklin' Clean Highs, well defined high-frequency reproduction is sent into every corner of your room. Triple SuperTweeters: What you can't hear CAN hurt. Real wood Grille - Sansui's traditional Kumiko design adds distinction. ______________________________ These speakers are very heavy !
