This is a gorgeous miniature redware pottery seed pot by Dolores Curran. Ms. Curran is a famed Santa Clara potter. She was the wife of the late Alvin Curran of San Juan Pueblo and mother of Ursula Curran. Her sister is famed miniaturist Geri Naranjo. The intricacy of her work is truly amazing and she continues to raise the bar when it comes to finding new, innovative ways to create the beautiful pieces she is so well-known for. She is most noted for her red and cream pieces. Dolores has won countless awards for her fine pieces, including many 'Best of Division' awards at the Santa Fe Indian Market. This lovely seed pot is impeccably painted with traditional designs all around. T is an avanyu finely painted around the top portion. T is also feather pattern around the top half with over FIFTY feathers! The bottom portion has dragonflies all around with traditional designs as well. The piece is finely polished all around and the painting is exquisite. The pot stands 2 1/4 inches tall and is 2 1/2 inches in diameter. It is It is signed "Dolores Curran Santa Clara".
