C & D Gifts Indian Art This auction is for an Authentic Hand coiled "Redware Deep Carved Bowl" Pottery from the Santa Clara Pueblo in New Mexico . It is approximately 2" tall and 2 3/8" wide. This is a very nice piece! It has a beautiful stone polished finish. It also has deep carved Eagle patterns on each side! Pottery from the Santa Clara Pueblo is among the most well known in the world. It is hand coiled , sanded, slip applied, stone polished and then fired outdoors. This color is fused into the pottery and will never come off. This piece is signed on the bottom by the artist, "Veronica". We purchased this directly from Veronica Naranjo. Veronica Naranjo was born in 1948 and has been making pottery since 1954. She is the daughter of Barbarita Naranjo and granddaughter of Pasqualita Tafoya. She specializes in deep carved stone polished redware. She uses all natural materials and fires her pottery outdoors. She lives with her sister Mary Scarborough who makes pottery just like Veronica. Veronica is on the right in the photo. These are one of kind pieces, tfore we take new pictures of every piece we sell. We want you to buy with confidence and be happy with your purchase!
