Original Santa Fe and Disneyland Railroad Gold Ticket Strip This gold strip was the first style of tickets ever offered at Disneyland for the railroad in 1955-56! It is the complete strip with the 'Main Street Depot' still attached and it has not been punched! It is incredibly rare to find one in this condition! The Story: In 1955, Disneyland had two trains with just two stations. Stops were made at Main Street and Frontierland. Tickets were issued as gold (yellow?) strips with separate tabs designed to promote several additional themed lands (t were no stops at those lands). In 1957, a station was added for Fantasyland and a shorter green ticket strip with tabs was issued with three stations listed. In 1958, another station was added in Tomorrowland. After 1958, the strip tickets were discontinued. This strip is among the rarest of all Disneyalnd collectibles. It is completely intact and was the first style issued when the park opened in 1955! It contains the 'Main Street Depot' stub and the entire strip has never been punched by the Conductor. It is an Adult ticket. These tickets are rather rare and unique for the collector for several reasons: This is the 'gold' strip.... dating from the first two years of the park's operation! It is a complete set for the Railroad, including the 'Main Street Depot'. Many of these strips are missing the 'Main Street Depot' stub. In fact several Disney publications contain pictures of these strips minus the Main Street ticket since it was often torn off by the conductor when boarding. Again....the 'Main Street Depot' ticket is not just included....IT IS STILL ATTACHED! Please note that the serial numbers on the larger ticket and the 'Main Street Depot' do match! The strip is in excellent shape! It has been carefully protected inside a soft plastic envelope since the day I received them. T are no tears on any of the tickets It's no secret that Walt had an incredible passion for railroading. His love dated back to his boyhood in Missouri. These tickets come from the very first years in the park when Walt was still with us, and they were among the first issued in 1955-56. Please note: My opening bid is a bit higher than usual for this item, but please consider the item being offered, and t is no reserve! If you are a collector of historical Disney memorabilia with an empahsis on Disneyland, or if you are a fan of Walt and his trains, you'll have to go a long way to find an official item that's neater than this or in better shape. Think of the millions of visitors that have come through the park in the more than 50 years it has been opened. Now look at this ticket strip! It doesn't get much better, and t aren't many items from the early years of the park that are rarer or more prized among collectors! If you're looking to add real value to your collection, not many folks can say they own something as old and as rare as this ticket strip. This is an original!!!!!!! My Disney collection has been my passion for more than 25 years. You have my personal guarantee these tickets are the real deal and they will arrive at your destination exactly as shown , in perfect condition. Be sure to check out my other Disney collectibles on this site. I will gladly offer discounted and/or free shipping for multiple purchases.
