Santa Fe & Disneyland R.R. 2546 Cast Aluminum Steam Engine with Tender. Walt Disney Loved his boyhood home of Marceline, MOIn December 1955, Santa Fe Railroad gave the city of Marceline a Class 2535 #2546 Steam engine. Walt Disney was planning a trip to Marceline on a visit in July 1956. Rush Johnson told him about the engine and Walt asked "Does it say the Santa Fe Disneyland Railroad on it?" Rush answered "no but it could before you get ". So that is how Marceline came to have a steam engine in Ripley Park that says "Santa Fe & Disneyland R.R." T are steam engines all over the world, most historically correct. But t is only only one Santa Fe Disneyland Railroad Steam Engine and we have it. This bank was made in honor of Walt's 100th birthday. This bank is 11 inches long and 2 3/4 inches tall. The engine is 6 1/4 inches long and says "Marceline, MO Boyhood Home of Walt Disney" . The tender is 5 inches long and 2 1/4 inches tall. It says "Santa Fe & Disneyland R.R. 2546" This bank is very heavy and nice workmanship. It weighs about 2 1/2 pounds without box and packaging.
