This is a pretty scarce plane. The Page's Patent lever cap was used on the first versions of this plane (#5307) between 1897 and 1909 according to "Sargent Planes Identification and Value Guide" by Dave Heckel. This plane also has the early mouth adjusting disc with one ear instead of two. The faults are that this has a chip in the mouth and a 3/8" hairline crack on the lever cap, a common fault with this model. It has a cutter marked "Fulton".
