This Incredible lock wasmanufactured for the US Military by the renowned Sargent &Greenleaf , Inc. for use on Munitions Containers. Although it consists of only 5 components, it is the most secure padlock available today. With it's rugged construction and special security features, it is virtually indestructable! It features a stainless steel body and a deadlocking stainless steel bolt that will withstand over 12 tons of pressure! It utilizes a Medeco highly pick-resistant cylinder that is changeable. It also has a restricted keyway to avoid duplication of keys. It is constructed with a unique anti-wedge design, giving all-around protection to the shackle. This makes the shackle inaccessable from both the front and sides for protection against cutting and wedging attacks.This is the last padlock to meet U.S. Military and Federal Govt. specifications (MIL 43607G) for high security padlocks. Used worldwide on military installations and ships, it provides excellent perimeter security, and protection w forced entry is a concern. Three keys included, two operate the cylinder, and one allows for easy disassembly of the unit for cylinder changing. It's a sizeable 4 3/32"h X 2 1/2"w and has a throat opening of 3/4"h X 1/2"w.
