CALLING ALL LOCK COLLECTORS OF RARE PIECES!!! SARGENT & GREENLEAF (INGERSOLL) 831B HIGH SECURITY PADLOCK YES!! This is the 831 B !! The lock that sets many standards for ultra-high security needs... and is coveted by lock collectors world-wide! Did you know that most commercial padlocks can be picked by anyone with a couple hours training and a lockpick set? If not it's time to do some research. I used to believe that is hard to do better that Masterlock padlocks until I bought a lockpicking set and had one open within 30 seconds and without any training. Not so with this Sargent & Greenleaf 831B high security padlock! This lock has been approved by none less than the United States military for high security applications, including the protection of ammunition, explosives, and chemical and special weapons. The 831B body is made of cast steel and is very simply, yet creatively, constructed. The entire lock consists of 5 pieces; body, shackle, Medeco lock core, & two other internal parts. It is heavy, weighing in a 3 lbs., 2 3/4 ounces, has a hardened, shrouded shackle to resist wedging, cutting, drilling, and sawing attacks, is in great condition, and is equipped with a Medeco key cylinder.
