This is a very beautiful Sarreguemines Plat or Platter, it measures 13 inches long and 8 1/2 inches wide. The fish, cattails, and water grass are raised not flat, they have depth. The coloring is Blue, green, brown, yellow, and salmon and they are not faded.T is cracking in the glaze and what I have read about Sarreguemines this is a normal thing to happen with age. the plate has on the back the word Sarreguemines ( the S is faded ), it also has an X and an A, also the numbers 99 with number 12 under the 99, and under the word Sarreguemines are the numbers 2229.
