This old Four Dot is in exceptional condition, marred only by a drop mark at the right outer rim. Nomenclature is sharp, including the Patent No. 15022/20, indicating that the pipe was made prior to 1950, according to Stephen Smith's article on Sasieni dating.

I do my best to ship the day following receipt of cleared payment. On domestic sales, I purchase delivery confirmation. Insurance is optional, but if you elect not to insure, the shipment is your sole responsibility after mailing. Shipping and handling for single pipes within the U.S. will be $5.00. Outside the U.S. shipping and handling will be $10.00 except Canada which is $5.00. I will combine shipping for no additional charge.

When I describe a pipe as restored, it means that I have cleaned, waxed and polished the briar and stem and have liberally swabbed the stem and shank airholes and the mortise with grain alcohol. I also ream the bowl, but endeavor to leave a decent cake if possible. Bear in mind that if you run a pipe cleaner with alcohol through the shank, you will inevitably come up with some light brown residue on the pipe cleaner. This will be true for any estate pipe regardless of the effort made to clean it thoroughly.

International buyers are responsible for all import duties. Please do not ask me to declare the package as a "gift" or anything other than what it is. I will not do it. International shipping insurance IS AVAILABLE. INSURANCE RATES QUOTED ARE FOR U.S. ONLY. INTERNATIONAL INSURANCE COST WILL BE SIGNIFICANTLY HIGHER AND VARIES BY COUNTRY.
