A Satsuma teacup with dragon-form handle and matching saucer. Glazed ceramic with overglaze enamel and gilt decoration. Approximate dimensions: 2 1/2 inches diameter cup; 2 inches height cup; 5 inches diameter saucer. Each marked on the bottom with a gilt seal mark. Japanese, late 19th century. General condition: T are no cracks, chips or repairs on either piece. T is minimal wear to the gilding on each piece, mostly at the rims. T is a very small loss (<1mm) to the gilding on the rim of the saucer and two very light scratches to the same. The cup has light rubbing to the gilding on the dragon-form handle and the rim. The enamel decoration is in excellent condition on both pieces. T is part of an old adhesive label on the bottom of the cup. The buyer pays for shipping via USPS Parcel Post with delivery confirmation.
