Captured brilliantly as if at the forge of his might âe" the flames of Orodruin, his crucible, beneath his feet âe" the Black Master of Barad-dÃ»r, recreated in stunning 1:6 scale, forges the greatest creation of his dark incantations and magic: t he One Ring of Power, a mixture of his own blood with gold melted in his palm by the heat that burns within him âe" In the fiery chambers of Mount Doom's Sammath Naur, a dagger strikes at the center of the molten gold, creating a ring into which his blood flows. The sculpture perfectly conveys the single-minded purpose of the Dark Lord to utterly conquer, enslave, and rule the world . This amazing sculpt is hand cast in heavy weight polystone and hand painted to the highest standards, utilizing the best materials available to recreate every detail of this mythic Middle-earth villain of godlike proportions âe" from the formidable brute ugliness of his impenetrable ancient plate armour âe" unforgettably marked by spikes and blades, standing out from his body like black thorns âe" to the exquisite, intaglio etchings of delicate, writhing poison-weed and Black Speech incantations on the sable iron surface of breastwork, vambraces, cuisses, greaves, pauldrons, sabatons, cuirass and collar, to the great horned helm (reminiscent of the horns of the Barad-dÃ»r) with its long fluked sides (giving it a shape eerily reminiscent of a horse's skull), to the extremely disharmonious combination of spikes, blades, curves and straight lines on his huge, incredibly powerful black-iron mace. Legend has it that this greatly feared weapon may have emerged from the ruins of Thangorodrim (peaks raised by Melkor-Morgoth above his fortress-sanctuary Angband, destroyed at last by the Valar), perhaps carried in the First Age by Morgoth himself as Grond, the Hammer of the Underworld, which claimed so many high-born of the Eldar.
