Great Bronze Age early Conan magazine-sized comics. Ultra hard to find Savage Tales Featuring Conan the Barbarian #'s 1-5 were published between 1973 and 1974 and feature writing by the legendary Roy Thomas and artwork by such greats as Jim Starlin, Gil Kane, Neal Adams, Barry Windsor-Smith, and more. I'm not a professional comics grader, but I will rate these comic magazines conservatively. Savage Tales # 1: fine to very-fine, some wear on the spine, pages nice and white with a bit of browning at the edges Savage Tales # 2: fine, some wear on the spine, pages beginning to brown at the edges Savage Tales # 3: good to very-good, some bends and folds on the edges of the cover, interior pages flat and white with some browning at the edges Savage Tales # 4: very-fine to near-mint, cover is in great shape, no folds or crease marks, spine is straight as can be, pages are white with very little browning around the edges Savage Tales # 5: very-fine to near-mint, virtually identical in condition to issue # 4 The Epic Illustrated comic magazines were published between 1980 and 1981, are full-color, and feature several sword and sorcery style stories in each issue by such talents as Barry Windsor-Smith, Neal Adams, Jim Starlin, Stan Lee, John Buscema, Carl Potts, and many more.
