For you poker fans, being offered is this lightly smoked Savinelli Bruna 310 KS that features a dark, blast finish and, despite my poor pictures, this Bruna does have a Cumberland stem. The pipe also has an appealing gold band accent. The bowl rim is smooth in a lighter finish and angles upward to the bowl opening that has a bevel along its inner circumference. As cakes are slow to come by, whatever cake was present has been reamed only to the point w it is completely and extremely smooth and uniform around the entire inner circumference of the bowl. I realize t are some folks who prefer that estate pipes be reamed to the briar for a 'fresh start' while t is another faction who prefer that the 'hard work' already be done for them. If you fall in the former group, you can do additional reaming to suit your tastes. But please note that none of the estate pipes I have up for auction were heavily caked, i.e., they were all lightly smoked and required little to minimal reaming and smoothing. In addition, I have given the stem a 'bleach bath' to destroy any 'nasties' that may have been present as well as to remove any oxidation. Afterward, I used the standard three step buffing method and three buffing compounds to restore the stem to its original brilliance.
