A very nice example of a E.C. Atkins No. 65 Crosscut saw. This saw's plate has been cleaned A perfect user condition saw. This is a professional grade saw, and should last generations. Made around the 1950's The etching sadly was removed when I cleaned the saw plate. Atkins saws are known for their light etching, so its hard to save if there is a lot of rust. Handle has very few light scratches and wear, but honestly the handle is almost in excellent condition. The handle has been oiled and waxed. This saw blade measurements are :26" Long 1 13/16" @ toe 6" just before the handle or just shy of 6 1/2" from the top of the handle to the bottom of tooth. Blade is straight and true, zero kinks or bends Teeth have been freshly sharpened, and ready to go. I first sharpen one round then joint the teeth, followed by another sharpening. Then I set the teeth, and test cut to make sure the saw is cutting how it should. If the setting is to much I will stone the saw until it cuts perfectly. Lastly I finish up the process with a final sharpening to make sure all teeth are sharp. It's sharpened to 20º fleam, 14º rake X-cut and lightly set. This saw is true to factory PPI at 8 PPI Cuts and tracks like a dream. Don't miss out on this great E.C. Atkins No.65 Please note all pictures.
