This is a unique handmade Replica of a 5th century GreekHoplite Linothorax. The Linothorax is crafted from many glued layers ofLinen to form a solid material. The method is time consuming but the overall strength of the glued layers is equivalent of 8-9 leather. The glued layers allow the armor to have a slight flexibility, and molds to the wearer form when heated from body heat. The shoulders are trimmed in Stamped leather with antique looking brass rings, engraved plates, and brass studs. They attach to the body through brass rings with lacing. The leather on the armor has been stamped with many patterns, and dyed a antique brown color. The two rows of Pteruges protect the lower body that has stamped leather as well. The armor closes on the left side(shield side of the body) with antique knobs with leather lacing. The armor is sized for a 38-44 inch waist. The actual fit is a few sized lower as it overlaps a few inches.
