Item listed is Lamellar armor made from aircraft grade titaniumEach plate was hand made, precision drilled, the edges rounded, and the holes "bounced" with a drill bit to reduce fraying.These plates are awesome. I fought in this lamellar for a year doing SCA heavy combat and never had a bruise.T are approximately 575 1"x4" platesand 76 1"x2" plates. All plates are punched with 7 holes. I am willing to take the thing apart and ship just the plates if the buyer is interested in making their own armor. Some of the cording has come apart from usage and it WAS used pretty hard, so I would actually recommend this option. Plus, if one were to make their own armor out of the plates, it would fit better and distribute force better. All of the plates are in perfect condition. Each plate is just a little over 1mm in thickness. To my untrained eye these plates look really beefy and I have never gotten even a bruise from taking a shot in this armor. The whole thing as it is put together right now weighs less than 20 lbs. Titanium is sexy. This auction includes the lamellar only. The gauntlets and pauldrons are not part of the auction.If you have any questions, feel free to ask.
