WELCOME UNCLE WILL'S "FULL THROTTLE" ZEBAY STORE Interesting Z Scale USA Model Railroading Collection A USEFUL SMALL Z SCALE FREIGHT CAR BURLINGTON NORTHERN 33' Open 2-Bay Rib-Side Hopper UNCLE WILL'S "FULL THROTTLE" HOLIDAYS 2008 RELEASE BN TWO-CAR HOPPER SET WDW #2022 BURLINGTON NORTHERN Burlington Northern Railroad was the product of a March 2 , 1970 , merger comprising the Great Northern Railway , the Northern Pacific Railway , the Chicago, Burlington and Quincy Railroad , and the Spokane, Portland and Seattle Railway . Consent for this merger came only on the fourth attempt dating back to the days of James J. Hill , but for many years they shared a headquarters building in Saint Paul, Minnesota , until the merger was finally approved. On November 21 , 1980 , the former St. Louis - San Francisco Railway was acquired. In 1981 corporate headquarters of parent Burlington Northern Inc. were moved to Seattle , Washington , and in 1988, after its non-rail operations were spun off as Burlington Resources , to Fort Worth, Texas . On December 31 , 1996 , the Burlington Northern merged with the Atchison, Topeka and Santa Fe Railway to form the Burlington Northern and Santa Fe Railway . Hi Z Folks, 's the "HOLIDAYS 2008" offering from Full Throttle . It's a 33' open rib-side, two-bay hopper car lettered for the BN Railway . In August of 2004, Full Throttle sponsored a run of Z Scale hoppers immaculately manufactured by FR, Freudenreich of Sanitz, Germany. They were green BN open 33' 2-bay coalers. 's a photo of them. Everyone wanted a large consist, but being handcrafted of nickel-silver and brass made the price tag for multiple units quite prohibitive for most. So, as a pre-Christmas surprise , FT has used it's open 33' 2-bay hopper bodies and created a lovely Holiday green BN model for the Z Scale Hobbyist! These Z Scale hoppers were manufactured with great details by Bowser Mfg. , and painted BN green to a slight sheen, inside and out. The white data, immaculate, tiny, and clean, is double pad-printed in three font sizes and the large logo reads, "BN." The realistic custom coal loads were created by Hay Bros. Garage . The cars sport Bettendorf trucks with magnetic knuckle couplers. listed is Set #1 with reporting numbers 508901 and 508924 . As you can see, the crystal clear display box holds two cars, and is stackable! Inside, the cars are cradled in a foam liner and t is model information printed on the colorful cardstock sleeve.
