Made from 1991-1995 and similar to the 2055, this is a black and orange locomotive with "Denver & Rio Grande" logo. Different roof treatments include dynamic brake housing and additional ventilators, giving the locomotive a "traditional appearance" - much more so than the White Pass.Otherwise, it shares the same body shell and chassis with the 2055. Additionally, as there is no narrow gauge Rio Grande Alco locomotive in real life, this became the first U.S. diesel locomotive in the Queen Mary Series.Picture number two is a comparison of size of this D&RG G scale engine, to the size of a BN HO scale switch engine. (Price does not include BN HO scale switch engine.)Picture six shows location of three-position switch located in the top of the hood (under an easily removable cover) . 0 = Motors off, lights off 1 = Motors off, lights on 2 = Motors on, lights onPictures seven shows the front truck (with a black-colored traction tire) and picture number eight shows the rear truck (with no traction tire).Price includes original box and packing materials, along with original instruction manual, and, additional locomotive details.Engine has an electric motor in each truck. This pre-owned locomotive runs fine, and is sold "as is."Any questions about this engine are welcome (and encouraged).
