Wow! No wonder the miners called it " Black Diamonds ." Anthracite helped stoke the fires of our American Industrial Revolution , and because of it's properties, was perfect for home and business heating. The largest fields of Anthracite coal occur in Northeastern Pennsylvania called " The Coal Region ," at the foothills of the Appalachian Mountain Range where the folding and compressing of the Geologic Strata was instrumental to it's formation. Many Railroads developed in the Coal Region , crucial to the mining and distribution of this important natural resource. Full Throttle brings several of these Railroads to light with coaling hoppers from their fleets and realistic anthracite loads by Hay Bros. Garage . Full Throttle Four 33' Open 2-Bay Hoppers , L&NE , PENNSY , READING and CRP . These are four major Railroads which carried anthracite coal throughout Eastern Pennsylvania and beyond. The models were manufactured with great details by Bowser Mfg. , painted to a slight sheen and equipped with the new Bowser Bettendorf trucks featuring super-gliding blackened metal wheels, and knuckle couplers . The liveries are prototype consistent. Each car features unique new reporting numbers never before released . Reporting Numbers: Set #1: PENNSY 220663 and L&NE 14335 Set #2: CRP 10327 and READING 86048 WOW! A wonderful Collector's 4-pk. ! Four different Open 33' Twin Hoppers representing PENNSYLVANIA ANTHRACITERS ! This release is FT-COL26. T he hopper bodies and data are painted in their respective Rail Line colors. Each car features it's unique Railroad logo.
