O-Scale 2-Rail Joe Fisher 1960's Custom-Built Baltimore & Ohio Heavyweight Baggage Car #130 and RPO #55. 2-Car Set Exceptional Quality. ONE-OF-A-KIND O-scale model railway cars custom built by Joe Fisher (Inducted into the O-Scale Hall of Fame in 2000) are rare, collectible, wonderful models. They were built during a time when availability of materials was limited and most off-the-shelf components were clunky and only vaguely resembling prototype. These two exceptional models are finely detailed, and have been enhanced with recently produced lost-wax casting trucks from Precision Scale Co. Remarkably, the car sides are made of card-stock. Yet they are crisp and clean and compare favorably to any other medium, including brass. The roofs appear to be a cast material, perhaps resin or plastic. (if they are wood -- as I initially thought -- they have been buffed and finished to a smooth, clean texture). Both models represent wood-sided cars which would have been in service from the 'Teens through, and perhaps beyond World War II. These models were built nearly 50 years ago, yet stand up favorably to any similar models produced since (and there have been very few representing this era of head-end equipment).
