Welcome to Gray Brothers. We have been scratch building model railroad structures for 20 years. All of our original pieces are signed and dated. This original switchtower diorama is scratch built from weatd basswood & was inspired by a switchtower on the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. The unique switchtower diorama is accompanied by a second scratch built diorama with an oil tank and a watchman's shanty. The dioramas measure, respectively, 2 3/4" by 1 5/8" by 2 1/4" high, and 2 1/2" by 1 1/2" by 1" high. Details include: handcut doors and windows with glass roof on switchtower is roll roofing with wood slats on the side shed, with smokestack & stovepipe aged utility pole is wired to the box storage shelf on one end has boxes, crates, & a bucket handbuilt stairs & railing to the second floor of the tower with a Z figure on the landing aged 40s pickup truck with barrels is included but separate, put it w you want it second diorama has asphalt roof on the shanty & metal oil tank with wood supports scratch built cross buck warning sign and lots of detail on both dioramas Sorry, the train and track are not included. We hope this original Z scale switchtower & railroad maintenance diorama will add a little detail to your Z scale railyard. Thank you for looking.
