This is a brand new InterMountain Railway Company "N" scale SD40T-2 "Tunnel Motor" Locomotive in the Denver & Rio Grande Western paint scheme. The locomotive number is 5348 (Item #69401-02). The SD40T is perhaps the most anticipated N scale diesel locomotive ever . The first of the extensive "Tunnel Motor" series features the SD40T-2 locomotive. Each model features prototypically accurate details including fuel tanks, air conditioners, bells, horns, and even different nose lights! Each Model also features numerous etched metal detail parts including windshield wipers and sunshades! Atlas Accumate couplers installed. This model is DCC ready. This D&RGW locomotive is decorated in the sharp black and Aspen gold scheme with the billboard flying "Rio Grande" on the sides. These models feature a three chime air horn and Sinclair antenna on the cab roof. They also come with a smaller fuel tank than those found on Southern Pacific units. They are fully assembled with numerous etched metal details such as sunshades, windshield wipers, fan and intake grilles and come with Micro-Trains® couplers.
