SCALEXTRIC C423 FORD RS COSWORTH. FINA LIVERY NEAR MINT You are bidding on a near mint Ford RS Cosworth Sierra vehicle, released by Scalextric c1993. The vehicle is unboxed. So let’s be clear on the condition of this vehicle…warts and all. Vehicles like this can often be found with faulty lights etc, but this one is fully track tested, 100% working and all body work/rear spoiler intact/undamaged on this. The headlamp lenses, brake light lenses and wing mirrors (still on sprue) are all intact. The window and interior mouldings are complete and have no cracks or other damage, the driver and co-driver is fitted. The tyres are in good grippy condition and the factory applied decals (Fina livery) are finished to a very high standard and 99% unmarked/blemish free. The front wheels have an independent floating stub axle suspension that is a must for tracks with rough terrain sections. It has been tested on my track layout and drives fast and handles well. Fitted with lightly used brids and an inline Mabuchi motor that is extremely quiet and runs like new when power is applied. Although racing Scalextric is tremendous fun, the excitement really starts to happen when the room lights go off and cars with lights are put on the track. As with driving a real racing car, you must drive within the capabilities of the headlights on your chosen car. This does make interesting racing as the most adventurous drivers may just try to gamble and go that little bit faster than they should. Also fitted with brake lights that briefly illuminate red when the car is slowing or stopping. Head and tail lights are excellent for dusk and night driving as they add real dynamic behaviour to the cars and the race. Great skill is required to negotiate the circuit…who will be the last to brake for that sharp bend ahead??? Magnatraction gives the car incremental downforce and grip allowing it to stay on the track at higher speeds and gives improved high speed stability and cornering ability. The race is far more exciting as the cars speed around corners and accelerate away down the straights. The car slows for corners more sharply too, giving the race real energy. But be careful, when the magnet looses attraction to the steel guide rails the car becomes a real handful! The 1/32 car is a real 20th century classic making it a stunning vehicle. Compatible with all 1/32 analogue track systems like Carrera,SCX,Ninco,Fly etc NOTE - THE VEHICLE IN THE LISTING PHOTO IS THE ACTUAL ITEM YOU ARE BIDDING ON.
