Scarce large flow blue handled coffee cup and saucer in the Argyle pattern by Grindley, circa 1896. This very unusual cup and saucer is decorated with some gold . These are not the typical cup and saucer but are oversize. The saucer is 6 1/2' in diameter and the cup is 4 1/2" in diameter and 2 1/4" high. The gold decoration on the saucer is very good; the cup does not have any gold. The cup is marked with the pattern and registration number. The cup has a tiny flake on the rim. The saucer has 2 small nicks under the rim that are not seen on the top , (See photos) The cup shows no crazing and the saucer has just minor crazing. NO RESERVE
