Scarce early Masons "Royal Order of Jesters"- large handpainted banner. This 54" x 43" banner has all the imagery of the Jesters organization including the "Billiken"- the symbol of the jesters. Painted on a soft canvas, this banner exhibits very minimal wear, still retains the original gold cord--the original wood rods--top one has its finials. "Whereas most Masonic bodies are dedicated to charity, The Royal Order of Jesters is a fun "degree," with absolutely no serious intent. The motto, "Mirth is King,” is sufficient to give voice to the purpose of the organization. The Royal Order of Jesters feel that there are times, after our hard work and dedication to family and mankind, when everyone should remember to laugh and appreciate the good work one has done". Scarce unusual banner is in excellent condition with no tears/no rips/etc. Circa 1930's. Due to its size this will be shipped Fed Ex. Combined shipping for multiple purchases. Thanks for looking.
