Up for auction is a wonderful Handel ware tobacco humidor with painted monk (perhaps Brother John?) scene on the front and with rich maroon and forest green overlapping colors. Handel is famous for their outstanding reverse-painted lamps and objects of tobbacciana such as these. This particular humidor contains the Handel shield on the underside and is marked #123/188 as well (can be seen in the photographs). Bid with confidence, as this is the very last humidor in our collection, and we have no more to offer! The humidor will begin at 75$ and sell with no reserve. Overall, the condition is excellent although t is fading to the paint on the underside rim w the piece would rest, as well as some minor fading on perimeter areas of the circular scenes. T are absolutely no chips or cracks, though t is what appears to be some new grouting on the interior of the humidor near the rim. Enjoy!
