UP FOR AUCTION TODAY I HAVE A NICE DEEP BLUE GREEN LATE 1850's- EARLY 1860s SMOOTH BASE NY SODA BOTTLE. This Bottle is in DUG condition with no chips or cracks. This bottle was dug by me in a Brooklyn NY privy many years ago. The bottle has quite a bit of casewear with many small dings, pings , scrapes and scratches. Nothing major though, just the regular wear and tear you find on a soda bottle that was reused many times over 150 years ago. T is a decent sized potstone in the sholder with no cracks or rays coming from it. (see picture) This bottle is deeper in color than the few other Hickersons I have seen in the past. A good pro tumble and polish would bring this baby right back up to snuff. The bottle is loaded with many nice bubbles giving the bottle lots of character. . The front is embossed as follows: S. HICKERSON (in an arch) 55 (under arch)/ CLARKSON ST N.Y. OK..MAKE SURE YOU READ THE GOOD STUFF!!!! THIS IS AN AUCTION!! If not I will consider you a non-paying bidder and take the appropriate actions. Shipping insurance is required. Please don't pay for item until I send you an invoice with the insurance added based on the final auction price. This is uaually a small fee and well worth it to protect your investment. If for some reason you refuse to pay for insurance I am no longer responsible for your package once it leaves my hands and is in the hands of the US Postal service.
