Welcome to my auction! I have about 75 pieces of vintage Carnival Glass. Please check my other listings for items you might like! This auction is for a Smoke Carnival Glass Vase. This is the "Balloons" pattern made by the Imperial Glass Company in the early 1900's. It is unmarked. You can reference this pattern in the 1996 Imperial Carnival Glass ID & Value Guide by Carl Burns on pages 41 & 42. I am really excited about this Vase! I have loved this pattern for so long and never been able to find a Vase like this. It stands 8 1/2" tall with a 4" opening at the top. As it explains in the Book, "This is one of the very few entirely hand-blown and hand-cut Carnival designs made by Imperial. The balloon design is hand-cut onto a delicate, thin, blown glass. Because of their delicacy, relatively few examples have survived the years." This Vase is amazing - a true stand-out in any Carnival Glass Vase collection. The color is consistent throughout the entire Vase with beautiful shine and iridescence. You can see pink, aqua blue, purple and more - a gorgeous Carnival Glass rainbow. I only feel a touch of inner rim roughness and one teeny flea bite on the outside of the rim. Too small to photograph. No other chips, cracks or repairs.
