Thisis a late 1800's scarce flipping spatula measuring 14 inches long. Squeezing the heavy wire handle makes the flipper paddle flip backwards on a twisted metal bar. Marked "Pat Applied For" lightly on edge of paddle. This is a very rare item probably because it was very difficult to actually flip food with this and the patent was never issued. Not a repro and Ipurchased this from an authentic Amish farm in Lancaster County, Pa. Nice original PA German or Amish item. Excellent condition with no breaks or cracks. Some wear from use.
