EARLY AMERICAN PRESSED FLINT GLASS 9 1/2" PLATE ROMAN ROSETTE PATTERN BOSTON AND SANDWICH GLASS COMPANY c1840s I SHIP WORLDWIDE Offered in this sale is a scarce early American lacy flint glass plate that was made by the Boston and Sandwich Glass Company circa 1840s. The name of the pattern is ROMAN ROSETTE. It measures a full 9 1/2" in diameter. Large plates like this in this pattern are quite scarce. The condition is very good. Please be sure to "supersize" the images to better view the close up images of the rim. The end of one of the checkered rim points is chipped off and t is a small chip to the very tip of another. It also has a few shallow surface scallop chips on the inside surface of the rim. It has no cracks or hairlines. Please feel free to email with any questions.
