You are bidding on an Italian Glass Vase in the style of Carlo Scarpa for the Venini Glassworks. It is in EXCELLENT vintage condition: no chips, cracks, scratches, or discolorations. Although the vase is unsigned, its heavy weight and quality of execution clearly indicate that it is of superior quality. The vase is comprised of layers of gold leaf confetti over a black glass ground which is then encased in a seed-shaped clear glass form. The effect is stunning: The vessel twinkles and sparkles as the position of the viewer changes. This technique recalls the best work of the most prominent Post-War Italian Glassworks: Seguso, Venini and Aureliano Toso. Beautiful and functional, this elegant glass vessel makes a striking addition to a Modern interior. dimensions: 6" W X 3.5"L x 12" H
