Scary Crying Eyes Face Jug Description Just in time for Halloween. A scary looking crying eyes face jug by Georgia folk potter Shelby West. For those who don't know Shelby he is a "Crawford County" folk potter. What that means is that he makes his pottery in the specific tradition of the old-time potters from Crawford County, wood fired kiln and all. On the back of this jug is scratched Mud Sweat and Tears. This is one of three Shelby made signed this way. It has a gorgeous runny alkaline glaze and the eyes melted out to dramatic effect leaving spooky looking sockets 11 3/4 inches in height Condition Excellent Condition.
