This is a specimen of Phantom Scepter Quartz (Silicon Dioxide). It is comprised of a transparent (more transparent than the photos suggest) Quartz crystal with a top section that is larger than the bottom section—a form called a “Scepter”. Inside the crystal is a smoky whispy Phantom—a ghostly image of the smaller crystal form preserved within before the crystal grew larger. The bottom of the crystal is broken at an angle. It is mounted with removable mineral tack to a 1.25 inch square black display base. This Phantom Scepter Quartz crystal is 1.4 inches tall. It is from Erongo , Namibia . I combine shipping with other purchases or auction wins.
