You are bidding on an excellent example of a Schatz / Jahresuhrenfabrik anniversary clock. Made in 1949, the clock stands 12 inches tall with the dome, and 7 1/2 inches wide at the base. The heavy glass dome has some very tiny fleabites along the bottom edge, but is otherwise crack and chip free. The back plate, number 1278 in the Horolovar Repair Guide, has the Jahresuhrenfabrik name along with Germany circling the number 49. Also the "No Jewels Unadjusted" logo. The clock is all brass with cream coloured enamal accents. The face has the familiar roses and garland connecting the arabic numerals, along with the Schatz name and "Made in Germany" along the bottom. T is some small paint chipping w the dome sits on the clock and a scratch on the back of the base. The clock has been completely disasembled, ultrasonically cleaned, polished to nearly new condition, oiled, put in beat, and with a new Horolovar Suspension Spring, is keeping time just fine. A Key and a set of instructions are included to help you set things up. It's hard to find these clocks in such fine condition, and this one will look great wver you choose to exhibit it.
