BUY IT NOW PRICE: $7,500.00 (You can't buy this set at this price anyw else!) 1900's Sterling Silver Repousse Schofield Baltimore Rose unusual 6 piece set. This is one of three well known Baltimore Silversmiths, the others being Kirk and Stieff in the early 20th century that gave Baltimore the reputation of the City of Fine Silver. All three of these companies made this wonderful repousse pattern in sterling silver flatware and serving pieces such as Tea Sets, Bowls, Trays, Wine Goblets, Tankards, etc.. This is a very sought after pattern. The pieces have a wondereful Deep Repousse Pattern of roses, vines,leaves and other flowers that go all the way around. This set is very special in that the repousse covers the whole piece. Often the pattern went just half way up the piece and was not as detailed or fine. See the last picture: This teapot is listed on Replacements for $2708.00. Just compare the two. Provenance: This was a wedding gift to the parents of the lady I inherited this set from. T are no monograms on the sterling pieces. The bottoms have an inscription that reads: To (the names of the bride and groom) From (the grandfather of the bride) Nov. 28-1928 Each piece is stamped with: the Schofield marks Sterling 925/1000 Fine 4000 The tray is not sterling. read more
