The Old Timer 34OT was Schrade's "bread and butter" knife--nothing in any line of Schrade ever outsold it we were told. It was brought into the line in 1964--NO, this one is not from the 60s, but it is from the 80s and has never left the plastic sleeve until now for pictures--oooo, its debut. No box on this knife but original Old Timer papers. It is not the small three blade stockman, nor the large 8OT three blade, it is in the middle, thus the name. . . really! One of the world's truly great knives. . . 34OT MIDDLEMAN three blade Stockman: 3 5/16" long, High Carbon Steel blades, clip blade size 2 1/2", sheepfoot blade size 2", pen blade size 1 3/4", total weight 1.9 oz., brown Delrin handles, inlay Schrade shield, brass liners and pins, nickel silver bolsters. (BTW=These original Old Timer papers were not just small inserts--they are miniature catalogs with current knife listings and how to sharpen a knife and more information in small print than you might think--a prize in and of itself.)
