WOW! Schrade invented the liner lock system and put it on the 197UH Uncle Henry Cat Paw, a single blade folder. This knife is quite scarce because it was made in limited quantities for only 8 years. This one is mint condition, with the original Schrade classic brown 2-piece box with red insert, and original papers. Collectors have valued this knife well above $100 and more in this condition with the peripherals. . . pictures do it no justice--this is a beautiful knife. Schrade 197UH Cat Paw Linerlock. . . 3 9/16" closed length with Schrade Staglon handles, one large Turkish clip blade, Schrade+ Stainless Steel, brass liners with nickle silver bolsters, and the Uncle Henry signature on the shield on the display side. First date of prouction was in 1981 and last date of production was 1989. Last published retail price was about $20 in '89; styled after the legendary 897UH, same size, just a one blade Liner-Lock version of the 3 blade stockman. And, a free re-print of Schrade's pamphlet, "What Makes Schrade a Great Knife?"--an informative brochure on blade steel and shapes, handle materials, quality control and more. . . yours FREE.
