This is one of the knives we just acquired out of the collection of Irv Trachtenberg, former Marketing and Product Development Manager of Schrade Cutlery from early 1970's until 1984. We bought this massive collection and will be offering some of the absolute finest pieces of Schrade Cutlery, and many other extremely fine pieces for auction in the upcoming days, weeks, and months. Folks, this is a totally outstanding group of knives, you'll see, just keep watching our auctions. With each knife sold out of the Irv Trachtenberg Collection, you will receive a Certificate of Authenticity verifying this knife came out of this splendid group of knives, spanning a 20 year period. This is a Schrade 1980's issue Uncle Henry 197UH Slip Joint Liner Lock knife for auction. As you probably know, the Schrade factory is now closed. The tang stamp reads Schrade + U.S.A. 197UH and the scales are the variety which Schrade produced to similate stag that they called Staglon. This knife is 3 1/2" closed and is mint in the original issue Uncle Henry box with original issue paperwork. Please see the Supersize Photos. The end of the box reads 197-UH and this knife even still has the white cardboard sleeve which goes around the box, as well as the "Lock Blade" sticker inside the original clear sleeve. As you can tell, this knife had never been opened up from the Schrade factory until I took the pictures.This Schrade 1980's issue Uncle Henry 197-UH Staglon Slip Joint Liner Lock from the Irv Trachtenberg Collection is in mint condition and complete in the original issue Uncle Henry 2 piece box and being offered at No Reserve.
