This is a really nice older Schrade-Walden H-15 Fighting Knife. I understand it was of the type fighting knife used by the Seabees in WWII. This blade is stamped "Schrade-Walden N.Y. U.S.A. H-15" as are the older H-15's. The blade is 5 1/8", the grip and pommel are 4 1/2" for a total length of 9 5/8". The stacked leather grip is very good. The pommel has a few slight dings that don't really hurt the appearance. The blade shows very light sharpening and has a little patina, but is overall very bright and clean. The leather sheath is fine for the age and has shiny rivets and the stitching is all intact and clean. I'd rate this knife as overall very good. Thanks for checking out this auction.
