The author lived many years among the Blackfeet and was accepted as a member of their nation. This book is illustrated with 24 photographic plates. Published by Houghton Mifflin in 1916 this hardcover first printing remains in unusually good condition (NF+). The covers are sharp, with minimal soiling and wear; strong binding; text somewhat toned with age; a few tiny spots at the text edges and minor traces of soiling internally; no real stains, no tears, creases, writing, etc. A rare collector's item, almost never found in such good shape. Measures 5.5" X 8.25", 242 pages plus the plates. Ships promptly & securely.
