This is a lovely 1940's vintage Schumann Bavarian chocolate set. The pieces of the set are a delicate china, their flowers offering a much-needed breath of Spring! The set has 6 cups and saucers with gold trim and flowers both inside and out. T is also a chocolate pot, creamer and sugar bowl. Cups are demitasse size - 3" diameter, 1-1/2" high, t he petit chocolate pot is 7" tall. What is fairly unique about this set is that the pieces are all stamped with a crest along with Bavaria , Germany , U.S. Zone, which confirms the time period in which they were made. They are also all stamped with a number 47 - maybe in reference to 1947? My mother received this as a wedding present and I don't believe she's ever used them, they've been in storage all these years and are in excellent condition.
