SCHWINN BICYCLES Round Dealer Adverting Sign NEW 11.75" SCHWINN BICYCLES: Round Dealer Adverting Sign - NEW 11.75" Shipping Info | SELLERS INFORMATION Description SCHWINN BICYCLES Advertising Sign I picked this sign up from a Schwinn Dealer in 2001, when they were closing up their operation, due to the sale to Pacific Cycle. This metal sign is round with a diameter of 11.75". It says Schwinn Quality and has their Star Logo, which was being used at that time, in the center. It is in Brand NEW Condition and even still has the clear plastic protective film covering it. Very rare item. On October 22, 1895 Ignaz Schwinn, with his financial partner Adolph Arnold, incorporated "Arnold, Schwinn & Company" in Chicago, IL. Within a few short years of its creation, the company became an acknowledged technical and quality leader of the American bicycle industry. The company was helmed by someone with the last name Schwinn for 97 years. Schwinn became about as American as apple pie. They built some of the best-known and best-loved bicycles of all time. After more than 100 years, this American Icon was sold to Pacific Cycle, Inc in 2001, putting an end to the Schwinn Bicycles as we knew them. Shipping Info END OF AUCTION.
