Up for auction is a vintage Schwinn 26" cantilever Fleet/Panther III frame! This frame was part of a lot of Schwinn parts I received recently. This somewhat rare frame has tabs under the top tube for mounting a tank. I suspect this frame was a Fleet based on a chainguard and tank found in this lot but I also found a black Panther III chainguard. These frames were only made for a few years in the early 60's. This one was made on 1/22/63. The frame is in good shape overall and would be an excellent cantidate for restoration or rider. The only problem I found is the front fender mounting screw is broken off in the fork. Stop people from asking "What are those tabs for?" and buy a tank too! Don't have the tank?
