Hey folks! I'm back! Apologies for my eBay hiatus.Anyway. Here is the one-and-only Schwinn-Built Heavyweights 1946 - 1964 book. These are a limited edition hand-numbered publication, limited to 426 copies and we're currently under #230. If you've been looking for the best reference book for Schwinn's Heavyweight line, then you've just found it. At last count this book was over 200 pages, but I'll be darned if I can remember the exact count. It's paperback, 8.5" x 11" with a proper paperback binding, just like the kind you find in the bookstore. Anyway, these are real books, no spiral-bound stuff here. And the cover! Check out that cover! It's an M. Mathey original with the Panther image re-appropriated from the 1950 dealer catalog. It's real purdy!Here's what's inside: - Schwinn's 26" models are covered chronologically, and every model is included. Scans from original catalogs and ads and promotional materials are used. Autocycle to Wasp, and everything in between. Covers how the different models evolved (or as was often the case, devolved) and how models were equipped in different years. This section alone it like cramming 10 years of experience (10 years of expensive learning-from-your-mistakes experience) into your head.- Schwinn's 24" and 20" models and the 16" model are covered and discussed.
