Up for auction I have a 1968 Schwinn Stingray Orange Krate with a 5 Speed Shift serial #(JD07312) Made in September 0f 1968. This Bike is all original and has been completely restored and all the original parts were used for 1968 Schwinn Orange Krate. 1968 is the first year for the Orange Krate and this bike has the Pogo seat post that was only used in 1968,also this bike has the Orange line rear gripper slik. The chain guard was lettered and clear coated, it was powder coated Professionally a Beautiful kool Orange matching Schwinn Kool Orange along with the frame, with new decals, very nice paint job. The handle bars, stem and bolts, crank, sprocket, seat post and clamp,bolt and nut , head set bearing races, complete spring fork, rear fender, front and rear rims, shifter , rear wheel protector and sissy bar and chain guard were all re-chromed. A ll the spokes were replaced with new nickel spokes and the wheels trued, the front atom hub and rear hub were polished. The front tire is a new Schwinn and the rear tire is a new Schwinn Orange line Gripper Slik. The seat has been re-covered and under reconditioned a beautiful jo b and it has the Q bolts that are chromed also. The Brake levers have been polished and all new cables were installed. The shifter has been all re chromed including the scre ws polished and shifts in all 5 gears
