This bike was found in the garbage ! One man's junk is a another man's treasure !I am exited about offering this rare SCHWINN STING-RAY for sale. It is one of the last ones ever made with the infamous "suicide " Stik-Shift, the top tube mounted gear lever was banned after 1971. The serial number is EG055501 , and according to the bike was manufactured in May of 1971. is what makes this bike special: Severinson bagde, 20 inch rear "Slik" tire, 16 inch front tire with "ATOM" front hub brake, banana seat and the Stik-Shift. Front and rear suspension. All parts original ! is a more detailed description of the parts and condition:It has a metal badge that says "Schwinn Chicago" on the head tube. On the Seat tube is a metal badge (not sticker) that says "Severinson Schwinn Cyclery".The brakes work fine, the housing appears to have been repaired with black tape a few spots. The front brake is a hub-type marked "ATOM". The rear brakes are regular rim brakes marked "Type BS36".The brake levers are marked "Weinmann".Rims are true, spokes are straight and even.The rear tire has a special flat, slick surface.
