Hello! Please be sure to look at my other auctions! I have many more unusual and experimental model kits an collectibles listed this week! We do combine items for shipping when possible to save you on postage. This is a lot of (6) Geissler tubes. Glass construction. Each measures approx. 8" long. Each tube has a different shape. (1) simple straight tube (1) Single constriction tube. (1) Double constriction tube. (1) Single bulb tube, (1) double bulb tube (1) Triple bulb tube. Five of the tubes light up with a very nicely with purple plasma glow but the straight tube in the lot is rather dim. I have energized these tubes using both an induction coil and a small neon supply. Both worked well. I was actually able to see oscillatory banding in the plasma due to the current oscillation of the power supply. Also in some cases only one lead need be connected to a tube for operation. In the case w I used a neon supply I was able to get tube to light by just laying an energized wire across the tube. The plasma can also be inflenced by a magnet held near the tubes No documentation but the padded case is included. These items are for technically inclined adults or bright young people with experienced adult supervision. Will be packaged with great care for safe arrival but insurance is recommended.
