Historical Scottish Pottery jug " Peace " by David Methven and Sons of Kircaldy commemorating the Crimean War 1853-1856. Jug is in beautiful condition for age with all the transfer work intact. One side showing the alies shaking hands with the Angel of Peace over head and the inscription THE BRAVE SOLDIERS AND SAILORS OF THE CRIMEA, the other showing the returning soldier / sailor with his family and the Angel of Peace in the background. Good clear mark to base and stands 21.5cms high.
